| As Grub is a boy (still rather surprised at that!) I am now selling the Sola and will be buying a nice new shiny single for him :) Here's what I need it to have Be able to fit a buggy board well Have a carrycot and be able to fit the Maxi Cosi Not too heavy as will be bumped up and down 3 steps 4 times a day. Rearward and forward facing seat. Just one handle rather than two. I can't spend too much on it and I am willing to buy 2nd hand if there's an expensive one I want. So these are what I have thought of so far. M&P Skate Urbo Sola (again ) Rubix Quinny Buzz Babystyle Oyster Icandy Cherry Bugaboo Cameleon or Bee (these would have to be 2nd hand) We were going to buy a new double but I didn't like any when we went to look yesterday so keeping the P&T for long walks and trips out and need the single for school run. I've got until February to decide and don't want to buy anything until I have had our 4D scan to check Grub is definitely a he! So what do you all think? Or are they any others you can think of? | |

| That's a good point hun so that would be the Cameleon, Buzz, Skate and maybe the Rubix.
I've not actually seen the Rubix so no idea how that pushes or handles.
I'm leaning away from the Skate as it has such small front wheels.
I'm loving the Oyster at the minute but also the Bee as it's lightweight. I'm not going to buy it until Feb time as I might see something new but I want an idea of what to go for. | |

| Hmmm right... these are my personal opinions I dont like the skate cos (and I know its a silly reason) but I dont like the shopping basket thing underneath... which is a shame cos it ruins the pram for me The urbo is very very similar to the sola but it looks really wide at the front, kinda a bit abnormal ... its so similar otherwise but I think I prefer the way to sola looks Sola... I love the truffle colour... Im even tempted to sell grass and buy sola but I think it may end in divorce... My gripes with sola are... the front on mine has gone rusty but then I am out in some heavy duty weather... and I dont find the basket large but most modern looking prams dont have large baskets soooo... but otherwise I love it... esp with the footmuff on it looks so pretty! Plus u kno the buggy board fits (although i find it easier now Ive moved it lower, it fits sooo much better) Rubix... Id never really looked at this before... it looks fab and I love it... its kinda a cross between the herbie (which I loved) and the sola... and the chassis looks shiny (oooo good reasoning - do u reckon it would work on ad... but the chassis was so much more shiny that the sola) my other problem... is it a bucket seat??? When I had the quinny erin looked so uncomfy asleep with her feet stuck up in the air!! Plus do they only do it in the one colour? Its a bit girlie?? I found the buzz was great in the baby mode or with car seat attached but sucked a bit when moved up to next stage seat??? Uve had one before though, u know what its like, good handle height, good with the bag on the back and u know buggy board will fit Bugaboo... I never used to be a fan of these but my friend has one for her litle boy and its fab... so light (think its the bee - the one I used to think looked like a wheelchair) and easy to push, plus he always look so comfy in it... and maxi cosi goes on... dunno about buggy board though??? Love the oyster... played with it in babies r us in warrington and its fab! Very very very like the sola... not sure theres to much difference to be honest except u can change colours a bit more Im a huge icandy fan but hear very mixed reviews about them... again u know maxi cosi goes and I LOVE the carrycots but they dont look huge (not of them do really) and if grub is like joeboy then........??? If I was picking a pram again and money was no object Id be narrowing down to (ok Im struggling) hmmmmm oyster, sola, rubix erm... I give up... bee, icandy erm Im useless!!! Just go play with them all hun and dont make any decisions until u have to xxx | |

| that post made me laugh hun! Well I think I've ruled out the Skate and Icandy Cherry just because I don't want them! Also think I've ruled out the Sola because as much as I love it, I just know I want to play with something different. Cameleon's are too expensive even 2nd hand so that's gone. I think the Urbo and Bee wheels are going to be too small for bumping up the steps. Which leaves the Rubix and Oyster. I really like the Oyster on the black frame and the fact you can change the colour of the hoods. Plus they do it in a bright blue for boys. I've found a package for £399 for the pram, carrycot, bag, footmuff and raincover which is pretty good. The Rubix only comes in black and pink :( Think it's looking like the Oyster!! | |

| Oh I'd forgotten I had decided! Haha! I've changed my mind since then after reading a few dodgy reviews about the Oyster. So now I'm looking at the M&P Joolz or a 2nd hand Bugaboo Cam as I really want one so I think I should just buy the one I want most if we can afford it. | |

| what dodgy reviews were they?? i liked the jools but what put me off it was the size of the seat unit...its tiny!!! see i do like the Bugaboo Cameleon but they're everywhere and i have to say if i was to get one it would be the black special edition one but it carries a hefty price tag!!!! Have you seen the Silver Cross Surf...it looks smart but seem to remember the shopping basket is tiny tho!!! | |
